At touchSMS, we’re always looking for ways to help businesses communicate more effectively and responsibly. Our latest update to Opt-Out Lists gives you more control over how your recipients manage the messages they receive, ensuring the right messages reach the right people, at the right time.
Smarter Opt-Outs for Better Communication
Until now, when a recipient opted out of SMS, it often meant they were excluded from all communication - marketing, promotions, and even important transactional messages. With our new Opt-Out Lists feature, that’s no longer the case.
Now, when sending a marketing or promotional campaign, you can:
- Nominate if the message is marketing-related.
- Assign the campaign to a specific Opt-Out List.
- Ensure that any opt-outs from that campaign are directly associated with the list chosen.
This means your customers can opt out of promotional or marketing material, while still receiving critical transactional messages like appointment reminders, password resets, or delivery updates.
Why Opt-Out Matters
Providing clear and simple opt-out options in SMS isn’t just about ticking the compliance box; it’s about building trust and credibility with your audience.
Here’s why it’s important:
- Compliance: Offering opt-out is a requirement under spam and privacy regulations. By making it easy for customers to manage their preferences, you stay compliant.
- Credibility: Respecting customer choice builds trust. People are far more likely to engage with your messages if they know they can easily opt out at any time.
- Clarity: Opt-Out Lists help separate marketing from transactional communications, ensuring your audience only gets the messages that matter to them.
What This Means for You
With Opt-Out Lists, you get:
- More flexibility: Tailor opt-out options for each campaign.
- Smarter segmentation: Keep customers in the loop for important updates, while respecting their marketing preferences.
- Better reporting: Opt-outs are now attributed to the correct list, and results appear in your campaign reports.
This update makes it easier to maintain compliance while ensuring your communication strategy remains strong and effective.
✨ Final Word: With touchSMS’s new Opt-Out Lists, you can communicate smarter, stay compliant, and keep your audience’s trust - all while delivering the right message at the right time.
